| Without a doubt, The Cellar was designed for live entertainment. The mission of the staff and management is to provide northeast Ohio with high-quality entertainment from both national recording artists as well as our many local favorites. The Cellar ROCKS with blues, alternative rock, disco, hardcore groove, and oldies. Our in-house sound system and clean, comfortable surroundings are sure to satisfy any live music fan.
BEFORE IT WAS THE CELLAR...
The Cellar is located in an old historic building in downtown Struthers, Ohio. In the fall of 1998, the owner (a billiard and music lover) decided to open a billiard room called South Bridge Billiards.
Restoring the street level floor to its original look would again add character and class to the facility. With its maple hardwood floors and old-fashioned tin ceilings, South Bridge Billiards' guests would be sure to get a pleasant glimpse of the past. After much work and effort, South Bridge Billiards was completed, but the owner felt it was somehow still incomplete. In the spring of 2000, the owner began to remodel and reconstruct the cellar of the billiard room in effort to create a unique venue for live entertainment. The cellar had originally been used as a fallout shelter in the 1930's. Afterward, it had become a simple storage area that would be forgotten. After countless hours of sandblasting the cellar walls, a brand new cement floor was poured.

ABOVE: The next project was to construct and install a 65-foot long bar. |

ABOVE: New restrooms and a killer stage were added and the once-simple cellar would now become THE CELLAR, Northeast Ohio's newest place for live music. The Cellar would finally open for business in the fall of 2000. |
The staff and management would like to thank all of our patrons and entertainers for helping make The Cellar the premier place for live entertainment in northeast Ohio!
